Retirement Communities

Retirement communities include three basic types--independent living, assisted living, and independent living with some assistance.

Independent living is aptly named since senior citizens enjoy all the independence of living on their own but with the added advantages of being part of a community. Assisted living is a housing alternative that combines independent living with personalized support services. Healthcare needs are also included and programs are designed to cater to the individual. Meanwhile, independent living with some assistance is somewhere between the two. It is for someone who is largely self-sufficient, but requires assistance from time to time. Below, we've listed the retirement community options on Cape Cod.
