Cape Cod has more than 120,000 yards of public golf courses--about 68 miles. That's like golfing from Cape Cod Canal to the tip of Provincetown.

When calling for rates and tee times, keep in mind that most golf courses consider "weekdays" to mean Monday through Thursday. Fridays can havetheir own separate rate, and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are typically charged at the weekend rate, but you are advised to call ahead to confirm.

Cape Cod National Seashore's Visitor Center in Eastham is built on land that was once known as Cedar Bank Links Golf Course. Cedar Bank Links faded from the golfing scene in the early 1950s, when the owners of the privately owned course lost interest in the game.
